Gurgaon, May 22: The Indian Express newspaper reported today that a Gurgaonian has opened a new grocery store with a name like ‘Made In India’ and a store that offers ‘Made for India’ items.
The Gurgaonia Grocery Store, which opened last week, is owned by Kunal Kumar.
Kumar told the newspaper that the grocery store would have 100,000 square feet of space.
“We are the first grocery store in India with such a name,” Kumar said.
When we asked him how many people he expected to shop at the store, he said, “We will only be able to serve about 50 customers at the moment.”
Kumran’s venture comes as grocery stores across the country are becoming increasingly popular with customers in the run-up to the World Food Day on May 27.
The stores, which are located in the city, are designed to be convenient, and include food from Indian and international brands.
On May 13, the United States celebrated its 50th Independence Day with a series of patriotic events in various U.S. cities.
In India, the national holiday is celebrated on the 27th of May, the day that marks the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, the founder of the country.
It is also known as ‘Mahatma Day’ because it marks the date when Gandhi became the first prime minister of India.
