NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA and Major League Soccer announced Wednesday that the next season will feature a new rule change aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.
The two-part rule changes will come into effect July 1.
The changes include a requirement for all players to wear masks during and after games and in the postgame locker room and locker room area.
The league will also require the players to stay at least 2,000 feet away from other players on the field.
The rules also require players to get vaccinated and to wear an airbag.
The new rules come as the pandemic has forced some teams to cut training camps and make some changes to their roster.
That includes the Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders making roster cuts Wednesday.
