Casio Gst smartwatches will be available in Australia on November 6th.
The watch will be priced at $799, but the company is also launching the Gst 310 with Android Wear 3.0, an updated version of the Casio Watch app.
The Gst watch is powered by the same Casio software that powers its GST Smartwatch line, but will have a more robust camera.
The Gst watches will be compatible with Android phones, but they won’t support the latest Android Wear features like GPS, notifications, and GPS-enabled apps like Google Now.
The Gth watch also has a 4.7-inch AMOLED display that will display an 8.3-megapixel rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 1.2-megawatt battery.
There’s also an IR blaster, and an IR light sensor that’s mounted on the bottom of the watch, and can detect the presence of an NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet.
Casio is making the Gth smartwatch more customizable than previous versions of the G-series, so users can change the colour of the back of the device to match their style.
For example, you can opt for a more muted black, or a more vibrant red.
Other smartwatch features include a customizable band, an integrated alarm clock, and customizable gestures.
Unlike previous models, Casio doesn’t offer a built-in Bluetooth earpiece.
Instead, you’ll get a pair of Bluetooth headphones.
Users will be able to get a price cut on their Casio smartwatch if they buy a G-line G-310, which will be the first Casio watch to support Android Wear 2.0.
The company says it will make the watch available in November for $799.
It’ll be interesting to see if Casio manages to make the GSt smartwatch available in other countries.
For now, though, the GST smartwatch is the best Android Wear watch you can buy right now.
